Short answer: GoHighLevel SaaS Mode lets an agency sell the HighLevel platform to clients as its own branded software, with subscription plans, automatic account creation and usage rebilling with a markup. It’s included only on the Agency Pro plan at $497 a month ($4,970 a year). You need Stripe, a white-labeled login domain and some setup time before your first sale.
GoHighLevel SaaS Mode is the feature most agencies hear about first and understand last. The sales pitch is simple: put your logo on the software, charge clients a monthly fee, keep the difference. The reality involves plan design, Stripe, wallets, markups and a handful of rules that the marketing pages don’t mention.
This guide explains how SaaS Mode works today, what it costs, how to set it up and where agencies get caught out. It’s built from HighLevel’s own help centre and changelog, which we read on 5 November 2026; the most recent articles we used were updated in September 2026. Where the official documentation doesn’t say something clearly, we’ve said so.

What GoHighLevel SaaS Mode actually does
Without SaaS Mode, an agency creates sub-accounts by hand and bills clients however it likes, outside the platform. With SaaS Mode switched on, HighLevel handles the software side of the business for you:
- Plans you design. You build your own subscription tiers, each with its own price, features, snapshot, add-ons, trial and usage billing.
- Automatic sub-accounts. When someone buys through a two-step order form, HighLevel creates their sub-account, creates a user, emails the login details and applies the plan’s feature permissions.
- Usage rebilling with markup. Texts, calls, email, AI and WhatsApp usage is charged from the client’s wallet, at a markup you choose.
- Your brand. Clients log in on your white-labeled domain and see your logo, not HighLevel’s.
- Dunning. Clients who don’t pay can be locked out automatically.
GoHighLevel SaaS Mode pricing
| Plan | Monthly | Yearly | SaaS Mode | Rebilling |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $97 | $970 | No | No |
| Unlimited | $297 | $2,970 | No | At cost, no markup |
| Agency Pro | $497 | $4,970 | Yes | With your markup |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom | Yes | With your markup |
Agency Pro is the plan older articles call the “Pro” or “$497 SaaS plan”; you’ll also see third-party sites call it “SaaS Pro”. HighLevel’s help centre notes there’s no free trial specifically for Agency Pro, but you can test the features within your first billing cycle. Our GoHighLevel pricing guide covers the other plans and every usage fee.
Add-ons SaaS agencies often need
| Add-on | Price |
|---|---|
| White-label mobile app | $497/mo (included on Enterprise) |
| Branded client portal app | $49/mo per sub-account |
| AI Employee | Growth $50/mo or Unlimited $97/mo, per sub-account |
| HIPAA compliance | $297/mo |
| Premium support | $500/mo |
On revenue share. None of the HighLevel documentation we read mentions a percentage fee on the subscriptions you sell. The fees it does mention are Stripe’s own payment processing fees on charges made through your Stripe account, and HighLevel’s usage costs for texts, calls, email and AI, which you pay and rebill.
How rebilling, wallets and markups work
This is the part of GoHighLevel SaaS Mode that decides whether you make money.
Every agency has a wallet that HighLevel draws from when your sub-accounts use paid services. Each SaaS client also has a wallet, charged to their card through your Stripe account. When a client sends a text, HighLevel charges your agency wallet its cost, and your client’s wallet is charged that cost multiplied by your markup. The difference is yours.
- Who can mark up: only Agency Pro and Enterprise. On the $297 plan you can rebill, but only at cost.
- Default markup: older help articles describe a default of 1.05x, meant to cover payment processing.
- How high you can go: HighLevel’s WhatsApp billing guide states a markup range of 1x to 10x, and users on HighLevel’s ideas board describe 10x as the ceiling. We couldn’t find an official cap stated for every service.
- AI: for Conversation AI and Voice AI you can choose a markup on token cost or a fixed rate per unit.
- Wallet top-ups: you set the minimum balance and the reload amount. If a wallet goes negative, services pause; if there’s no valid card, rebilling goes on hold.
- Currency: phone rebilling runs in US dollars even if your plans are sold in another currency.
How to set up GoHighLevel SaaS Mode
HighLevel now offers a guided setup in four stages (payment processor, currency, plans and sale link). These are the steps in more detail, based on its help articles:
- Upgrade to Agency Pro from your agency billing settings.
- Set up your brand: a white-labeled login domain, an API domain and your logo.
- Connect Stripe at agency level (only owners and admins can do this) and in the sub-account you’ll sell from. Configure sales tax in Stripe.
- Set up LC Phone so telephony usage can be rebilled.
- Open the SaaS Configurator and create a plan category with a name and currency. Categories control upgrade and downgrade paths, so keep plans in one category in the same currency.
- Add your plans. For each one, set monthly and yearly prices, choose the features (at least one), attach a snapshot, pick add-ons and Marketplace apps, set the trial and any complimentary credits, and configure usage billing and markup.
- Build your sales funnel with a two-step order form tied to your SaaS product, so purchases create sub-accounts automatically.
- Run a live test with a real card. Test-mode purchases don’t create sub-accounts.
Things that stop accounts being created. According to HighLevel’s setup guide, a sub-account isn’t created automatically if the price isn’t inside a Stripe SaaS product, the purchase was made in test mode, the buyer paid with PayPal, or the email address already has an account. The same older guide says Stripe is the only supported gateway for SaaS sign-ups; the newer configurator mentions other providers, so check the current setup screen before you plan around PayPal.
Designing plans clients will actually buy
The agencies that do well with GoHighLevel SaaS Mode rarely sell “our CRM”. They sell a result for a specific kind of business, with the software as the delivery vehicle.
- Pick a niche. A snapshot built for dentists, roofers or gyms (pipelines, calendars, follow-up and review requests already wired) is far easier to sell than a blank account.
- Keep the tiers simple. Two or three plans that differ by clear features (for example, adding the AI Employee or more locations) beat a long menu.
- Use the trial deliberately. HighLevel lets you set a trial per plan. A short trial with a ready-made snapshot shows value fast; a long trial with an empty account rarely converts.
- Decide how usage is priced. Either bundle some usage into the plan with complimentary credits, or bill everything through the wallet with a markup. Make it clear to the client either way.
Is GoHighLevel SaaS Mode worth it? A worked example
Here’s an illustration, not a forecast. Suppose an agency sells a $197-a-month plan to 15 local businesses and rebills usage with a markup.
| Line | Monthly amount |
|---|---|
| Subscription revenue (15 × $197) | $2,955 |
| HighLevel Agency Pro | −$497 |
| Usage costs (texts, calls, email) | Paid by clients through rebilling, plus your markup |
| Stripe processing fees | Deducted by Stripe on each charge |
| Your time: onboarding, support, snapshot updates | The real cost most agencies underestimate |
The software cost is small next to the revenue. What makes or breaks SaaS Mode is churn and support: every client you sign is a customer who will email you when something stops working. Budget for that before you budget the profit.
SaaS Mode vs managing clients on the $297 plan
Many agencies don’t need SaaS Mode at all. If you charge clients a monthly retainer for done-for-you marketing, the Unlimited plan ($297) already gives you unlimited sub-accounts, white-label branding and rebilling at cost. SaaS Mode is worth the extra $200 a month when you want clients to buy software from you directly, sign up without your help, and pay a markup on their usage.
Common GoHighLevel SaaS Mode mistakes
- Launching without a niche snapshot, so new clients log in to an empty account.
- Forgetting A2P 10DLC registration for clients who text US numbers.
- Mixing currencies in one plan category.
- Setting markups so high that clients notice and compare.
- Not testing the full purchase flow with a live card before launch.

GoHighLevel SaaS Mode FAQ
Which GoHighLevel plan includes SaaS Mode?
Agency Pro, at $497 a month or $4,970 a year, and the custom Enterprise plan. Starter and Unlimited don’t include it.
Does HighLevel take a cut of my SaaS revenue?
HighLevel’s documentation doesn’t mention a revenue share on subscriptions you sell. You pay Stripe’s processing fees and HighLevel’s usage costs, which you can rebill to clients with a markup.
How much can I mark up usage in SaaS Mode?
HighLevel’s WhatsApp guide gives a range of 1x to 10x, and users describe 10x as the ceiling generally. Check the slider in your account for each service.
Do I need Stripe for GoHighLevel SaaS Mode?
Yes for the standard setup: Stripe is connected at agency level and in the selling sub-account, and automated sign-ups depend on Stripe SaaS products. The newer configurator mentions other providers, so confirm in your account.
Can clients get a free trial?
Yes. You set the trial per plan in the SaaS Configurator, and you can add one-time complimentary credits when a client subscribes.
Is SaaS Mode the same as white-label?
No. White-labeling the desktop web app isn’t tied to SaaS Mode; HighLevel’s pricing FAQ describes it as a platform feature, without naming plans. SaaS Mode adds automated plan sales, sub-account creation and rebilling with markup on Agency Pro.
