WebSourceLab exists to help small businesses, freelancers and agencies choose business software with confidence. These are the rules every page on the site follows.
Independence
- We choose what to cover based on what our readers are deciding between, not on which vendor pays the highest commission.
- Vendors never see an article before it’s published and can’t request changes, except to correct a factual error.
- We recommend tools that don’t pay us when they’re the better fit.
Evidence and honesty
- Every price comes from the vendor’s own pricing page, with the date we checked it shown at the top of the page.
- Product facts come from official documentation, plan tables and help centres, linked in each article’s Sources section.
- We never invent testing, screenshots, quotes, ratings, testimonials, customer stories or personal experiences.
- Research-based pages say how they were researched. Scores out of 10 only appear on reviews that went through our standard hands-on job, described on how we test.
- Estimates, such as monthly cost examples, are labelled as estimates and show the rates they’re based on.
Keeping pages current
- We re-check prices on commercial pages regularly and whenever a vendor announces a pricing change.
- The “Last updated” date only changes when we make a meaningful update, not for cosmetic edits.
- When a product is renamed, discontinued or repositioned, we update or retire the pages that mention it.
Corrections
If you spot an error, an outdated price or a broken link, tell us through the contact page. We fix confirmed factual errors promptly. When a correction changes a recommendation or a key fact, we note it on the page.
Use of AI tools
We may use AI tools to help with research, outlines and editing. Every published page is reviewed by a person, every fact is checked against its source, and the recommendations are ours.
